from 986 reviewsI have used this leash every day for 7 years and it's still going strong. I went to buy another one and when I searched on Amazon it came up with knock-offs of Iron Doggy. It looked good in the picture so I bought one, but when I received it there was no comparison to Iron Doggy. That product was very cheaply made and much thinner and just not even close. I returned it and googled Iron Doggy and found it and bought the real thing. Such a beautifully made, quality product. Love my Iron Doggy leashes and belt.
I have a pitbull that loves to pull, and this leash has saved my life. It allows me to keep both hands free and direct my dog with commands, instead of accidentally choking him every time he pulls. The leash is incredibly sturdy, comfortable to wear, and well designed with double bungees and handles. I would recommend this product to literally any dog owner.
I use the Runner's Choice with the SideKick to run with my two dogs (80 lbs each). On a wide trail one runs on my left, the other on my right. On a narrow trail I use the full length of the Runner’s Choice leash and they run staggered behind me. Love the quick grab handles, hold-knots, and bungee cord. Will recommend to other people who want a hands free leash.
You can tell this was made by people who actually run with their dogs - it has all the right features, is easy to adjust even mid run and is sturdy! My dog and I love it!
They say possessions can't make you happy, but I feel like this leash is one of the exceptions. Purchased the long leash and makes my life so much easier in so many ways. At a dog-friendly brewery and you don't want your pup to wander? No problem. No more worries about my dog ripping the leash out of my hands to chase a squirrel across the street (just as a car is coming too, of course). Makes running with my dog so much more enjoyable (I don't find the extra weight of the long leash too troublesome and I'm petite). If I want a hand free for coffee on a morning walk that's easier too. The built in bungees are marine-tough as advertised and make all the difference, like a car suspension system only for you and your dog. Highly recommend.

I love the freedom of being hands free while out for a run with my pup. I looked at several other brands and products and they all had things I didn’t like. This leash beats the others by a long shot. The clips are sturdy and secure and the material is high quality. The bungee has just enough resistance without too much recoil when my dog explores a little further. I also like that the leash can freely move around my waist on the waist belt so I’m not constantly adjusting from left to right. Overall this is definitely worth the price!
I don’t usually do reviews but I really like this product. I was looking for a quality hand free leash option and found it here. I’d highly recommend to runners, hikers, walkers that are looking to go hands free with their dogs. I also use it as a stepping stone to off leash training.

I am overweight and have a very active new dog. I didn't realize how much I needed this leash until I got it. The belt fits me with plenty of room for the leash to slide. There are so many handles that, even in bunny territory, I haven't lost hold of the dog! And when things aren't crazy, I can hike and run and keep my balance because my hands are free!
I love this leash! The knots make the bungee feel very secure—I have a lot more confidence in their holding power over a simply sewn attachment.
The options for length are great. The longest lets me easily walk/jog my ~70lb dog with his human sib’s stroller. The shorter lengths are good for walking around stores when he is on Service Dog duty.
Super impressed with this leash. Some elastic leashes stretch and die, others don’t stretch and get relegated to being unused, but this leash keeps it’s shape and performs forever. Super fan here, happy you make such a stellar product Iron Doggy!
I love my Iron Doggy leash! I run my dog everyday and have had difficulty with waist running leads from other brands where the attachment does not move on the waist belt. I was worried about my gait and back if my dog moved an unexpected way (squirrel sightings!). This iron doggy hip leash is very well made material wise, and the free moving attachment makes it better on your body. Will never use another!
