We designed our unique hands-free dog leash to take the shock out of those unpredictable lunges, pulls, and abrupt changes in direction.
The Runner’s Choice is designed and built with a unique bungee system that has a minimum breaking strength of 215 pounds. That might sound excessive, but if you’ve ever been on the wrong end of a strong dog chasing a speeding squirrel, you’ll appreciate every ounce of that strength!
We take the design, performance materials, and craftsmanship of our products very seriously. Skillfully handcrafted in Denver, Colorado, this unique dog-running leash is built to last.

We are incredibly grateful for the positive feedback we receive from our customers and those who previously bought other "knockoffs" of our original hands-free leashes, only to find out they don't perform as expected. This won't happen with an Iron Doggy™. In the extremely unlikely event that you aren't completely satisfied with your purchase, simply return it to us and we’ll give you a full refund. No questions asked.

The Runner's Choice Hands-Free Leash incorporates a unique bungee system and Belt that uses your hips as a counterweight (instead of your hands, shoulders, and neck) to absorb strong pulls from your dog. The Iron Doggy™ Belt has a durable swivel sliding snap-hook that glides effortlessly as your dog moves from side to side, so you can feel safe and comfortable while running hands-free.
Two unique raised "control handles" allow quick and easy access the second you need them. Runner's Choice also features two specially placed "hold-knots" to keep your hands safe by preventing "leash burn" - perfect for busy intersections or to gain control of your pup quickly.
Features:
• Heavy-duty swivel sliding snap-hook
• Two raised control handles
• Two specially placed hold-knots
• Multiple pups? See our Extra Leash options
With three adjustable leash settings beginning at 54" (inches), 46", and 30", the Runner's Choice Hands-Free Leash allows you and your pup to quickly and easily adapt to different environments. Whether you decide to adjust your leash for an urban setting or let it out all the way for wider terrain, the Runner's Choice has you covered.
For added convenience, our Solo-Pocket® easily fits on your Iron Doggy™ Belt. It provides you with extra storage space to bring your necessities including those all-important doggy bags and treats.

I have a very active, agile and athletic pup but he's not great on a leash. He pulls, jets around, etc. I've tried to run with him on a regular leash and it was a disaster. Ironically, when we're on the trails, he's great off leash and always stays near me, but when I've had to leash him on the trails, it's a disaster and I get tripped up. So I finally decided to look into a run leash and discovered Iron Doggy. I used the leash yesterday for the first time. We were on the trails and once my little guy started darting around for the lizards, it was time to leash him up. It worked so great! It was very comfortable, easy to run with, and even with the occasional pulling and jetting side to side, it never interrupted my stride or pace. When my pup wasn't on leash, it was easy to hook up on my side. Super happy with my Iron Doggy leash and highly recommend!
Hi Shelly, Thank you so much for your feedback. We’re super happy to hear that you and your athletic pup are enjoying your new gear! Thank you again for taking the time to let us know about your experience.
This is awesome to use on Trail runs! My pup was so happy and if felt safer having my hands free but could grab the loops if needed
Perfect for hikes with my dog. I just started using trekking poles on my hikes and the hands-free dog leash makes it possible. Solid construction.
These are the best dog leads on the market, especially if you take your dogs on long hikes. They enable you to hike hands free so you can use your hands for hiking not controlling the dogs. These leads enable me to take the dogs on hikes I would have to leave them at home without.
These are very well made and built to stop the strongest of dogs, should they try and go hunting etc. Excellent service as well. Thank you for a wonderful product. Regards Steve
Hi Steven, We're thrilled to hear that you and your pup are enjoying your new gear. Thank you so much again for letting us know about your positive experience.
I have been running with my pointer for 4 years and tried many different bungy leads. By far, this is the best one I have had, and would recommend it to anyone. The only issue I find whilst running is, that the belt is rather narrow and not cushioned, so when dog pulls hard, it's slightly uncomfortable.
Hi Stephen, Thank you so much for your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you and your pointer pup are enjoying your new gear. We recommend ensuring the Belt is snug on your hips (versus up higher around your waist, as outlined on our FAQ page). This helps to keep it snug and provide more counterbalance to strong pulls, while providing a more comfortable fit. Thank you again for taking the time to let us know about your experience.
