We took Zola to get her stitches removed today and were stunned with what we saw when the doctor took off her bandage. Not only was there a neat row of 20 stitches, but tattooed on to her left hip was one of Raphael’s Angels. This, of course, helps explain the high cost of orthopedic surgery; however, we aren’t entirely certain if, given the choice, we wouldn’t have gone with something a bit more modern.
