Chasing Your Dog Race with Doggie Yoga: Welcome to Denver

International Hearing Dog

You know you're in Denver when your weekend schedule includes running a 5K with your pooch, followed by a 45 minute doggie yoga session. It's all happening because of the good folks at International Hearing Dog, Inc (IHDI). Their annual Walk Run & Wag 5K is a great way to enjoy the Colorado sunshine with your lovable dog while supporting a cause that is near and dear to us at Iron Doggy™.

Since 1979, IHDI have trained dogs to assist people who are deaf or hard-of-hearing at no cost to the recipient. Their staff and volunteers have trained more than 1,200 animal shelter dogs, placing them in homes throughout the United States and Canada. IHDI has also helped start independent Hearing Dog programs in Japan, Norway, and Australia.

We're excited for this to be one of our 2017 Iron Doggy Selected Events, not just because it's such a great cause but also because this 5K is a chip-timed race. We love that!

You can run as a team, run with multiple dogs, or run with no dog at all. You can even sign-up and run the race "virtually" from the comfort of your hammock. The race starts at 8am at Sloan's Lake Park, in beautiful downtown Denver.

Some lucky winner is going home with a brand spanking new Iron Doggy™ SideKick. You can also order either of our hands-free dog leashes through July 15, 2017 and get free shipping * (enter discount code: WRW5K). We believe hands-free leashes are a must for bothAdho Mukha Svanasana and running.

* Free Shipping offer good in the US only (sorry to all the international yogis)
