In search of the perfect beach vacation for you and your pooch? Consider heading down to Jacksonville, Florida to participate in St. Francis Animal Hospital's Chariots of Fur 5k and 1-mile fun run. St. Francis is a not-for-profit animal hospital. The proceeds from this event helps with their mission to provide medical care to family pets in need.
The Chariots of Fur Beach Run will be held Saturday, February 6th, 2016 at the Seawalk Pavilion. All participants will receive a souvenir tech t-shirt and race packet filled with goodies for people and pups. Best of all, the top race finishers will be awarded one-of-a-kind hand-made ceramic dog bowls.
Stick around after the race and enjoy the festivities - live music, contests, food trucks, dog demos, dogs available for adoption, massages, activities for kids, a raffle with great prizes, and silent auction. Some lucky soul is going to win an Iron Doggy™ leash!
Can't make it? That's OK, you can contribute to St. Francis Animal Hospital online while you're busy not being on vacation.
